Admittedly, it has been a very long time since I've attempted to host any kind of party, so I'm just a tad out of practice. But it wouldn't be anything too big--we do still have studies to attend to.

I was thinking a gathering of fellow students and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in perhaps...tea and biscuits? Some cake as well? Or pie, as that seems to be seasonally appropriate.

Tuesday? If that's not too short of notice, is it? Outdoors, weather permitting, or in a corner of the Great Hall unless someone has a better suggestion for tea-time?

I told her you were my best friend. And wily, and clever. All the usual descriptors. I may have mentioned that we dined at the Ritz and had our Arrangement. One makes conversation while working! As you well know.

That comes of being research partners, I suppose. What did she tell you?

I don't think people hear 'Arrangement' and imagine what the Arrangement was, angel.

Mainly that you were up to your neck in research about summoning, you know, something in particular. With no mind to all the ways that could have gotten you killed.

It's not my fault that humans or trolls or ducklings have a far more limited scope of understanding that word.

Crowley. I was prepared. Those directly involved were given as much information should things go wrong as was absolutely necessary. Everything short of arming them with something irreversible. That said, it was worth it. You will always be worth it.

For a first go-around, I thought I did quite well, actually. I didn't get quite the results intended, but it wasn't a bad turn-out.

'Course you don't have to. And I don't care if people think - you know, whatever they want to think. Just figured if we've got to draw attention anyway, it's easier not to hide for once.

Look, if something had happened, and I wasn't here... It's done with now, I'm sure you made a good job of it, but you can't make me like it.

It really just...hadn't come up, is all. I didn't want the whole school to know before I did what I was going to do--before you arrived or anything. They didn't need to make judgements and assumptions based on their own worlds/ideas before they had the pleasure of meeting you.
