apocalypse?

ok so is like the world going to end anytime soon?

because like tegiri forced me to watch enough isekai back home for me to know that when one or more rando chumps get pulled into a high fantasy world where they're really good at magic for no discernible reason there's always going to be some end of the world stuff nigh]

or really any looming threat

just want to make sure if i need to be worried about that kind of thing

I'm afraid I don't know what isekai is, but from everything I've seen here--and I have been here for a while--the end of the world usually has portents associated with it, does it not?

I wouldn't say I'm the best student, but I think those would be impossible to ignore, if they were happening.

I'm in agreement that there usually are signs, perhaps a prophecy or two, some large monsters and strange weather phenomenon.

Perhaps a figurehead or face-of-evil to incite it all.

I suppose. It is suspect. More so now that I think about it, really, though I wasn't here for those events. But people are very quick to label things the "End of Times" when, really they are more like "very bad times," and just because something is supernaturally exceptional and suspiciously timed does not mean it is a road-marker to a world-ending cataclysmic event.

And in the event it is, this is a very frustrating development indeed.

"To get clicks"??

I genuinely do not know. I've encountered a creature with portals to a labyrinth, but I admit I've been too preoccupied with my own [a few aborted words are struck out] studies to note any signs of impending wickedness. But I assure you, one cannot prepare for the apocalypse. Such preparations are rendered null and void rather quickly by a comedy of errors usually of the preparers' own making.

I'm not condoning sitting on your a ars BEHIND I'm saying that specifically targeted preparations tend to be thwarted--but that's not to say we couldn't have a contingency plan of some kind....

Also, I DO take offense but no, I suppose I don't need you to explain this Grubtube. It sounds an awful lot like something for a Mobile Telephone and I'm afraid those are quite out of my area of interest or expertise.

Right. But I feel that if you have an ace up your sleeve, my dear, you're not supposed to tell everyone what it is, least of all to leave a paper-trail.

Never heard of it.

It's possible, but it's been a while. It's more of a slow buildup to disaster if anything.

Well, it would help if everyone stopped poking the dangerous ghost dragon sitting under the school.

...right. I can work on that as well.

It'd also help if people stopped poking mysterious objects as they appeared, because they're usually dangerous. If someone's promising you something, it's probably a lie.
