Trying something out

Hello everyone! I'm wondering if I could get some help with something I'm working.

I've been interested in communicating with animals, and Professor Mala has let me borrow some books that might help me do that. I've been studying them, and would like to give it a try using Intimation to communicate with your familiars.

The magic does involve connecting to the familiar's mind, though, and while I will do my very best to not invade any privacy, I do understand that it can still be a bit uncomfortable. That's why I'm only asking if you and your familiar would be willing to participate, and it will be 100% voluntary. Even if you're okay with it, please check with your familiar to make sure they're okay with it too.

Adelai seems fairly easy to converse with given language barriers, but he does have access to literally every penguin possible as far as I have determined so far- perhaps it could be worked out that you give it a try with more than just a familiar in that case?

Oh, that would be really helpful! I was planning on trying it with non-familiar animals eventually. Familiar were just the start since that's what one of the books was about.

But I'd love to give it a try with the other penguins too.

That, I'm not exactly sure. I do want to try with some familiars first before moving on to non-familiar animals.

But if I can manage to get the hang of it with familiars, I'll let you know.

Oh yes, please! That would really be helpful. I'm actually planning to arrange a time where I can meet with everyone and their familiars, but maybe I should start one at a time first.

That's probably a good idea- at this point, you wouldn't know how much energy this will or won't take out of you after all. One at a time is probably the safest option for now.

Something like that, I think. One of the books I have is about using Intimation to communicate, and the other is about the connection between people and their familiars. So it's kind of like mentally connecting in order to establish communication.
