Inquisitive Inquiry
I'll keep this simple to refrain from cluttering up the bulletin board, but I have been wondering just where and when is everyone from? It may not be pertinent now but if we are to return to our worlds it would become so.... that and I am genuinely curious about the topic.
I have already heard some incredible claims that lead me to believe that there's no limit to the possibilities.

Thank you, I may just do that. I neglected to mention it before- an oversight on my part but I'm also from Earth, Egypt to be more specific. Do you happen to know what year it was? Or- how technologically advanced the residents of Duckburg were? [Trying to narrow down a time frame, though he knew that wouldn't be precise. Civilizations tended to develop at different rates]

I'd say we're ahead? I mean magic isn't really used a whole lot in my world, there's plenty who say it doesn't even exist because they've never seen it for themselves. I have, but mostly because that magic was trying to kill me.
But we have cell phones and TV and computers. Does that help?

It sounds comparable to what was available in Domino.... [Realizing he left out some information there he amends] Domino is a city in Japan that I've... visited a few times. [Visited. Sure] Most were skeptical of magic there as well, but where I'm from it's the reverse.
More people have exposure to magic, so it doesn't seem as fanciful, and we don't have cell phones or televisions. The technology we have might seem primitive to others but it was the best that was available at the time.

It's quite simple, really. If any of us manages to find a way to return home, then theoretically that knowledge could then be applied to assist others in making their way back as well. Beyond that there may be a pattern or underlying connection between our dimensions that isn't readily apparent that may guide us towards a solution if we could only see it.
no subject
Beyond what those who brought us here know? I seek this knowledge myself, as I am sure many here do. You may be on to something with this theory, though who is to say if the same method will work for all. Alternately, I would propose to put a halt to those who continue to practice the magic which brought is into this world while we identify what and how we were taken. Continuing to make the same mistakes and add to the mess will not help anything.

There are some countries that are more...technologically advanced, there. The Garlean Empire, for example. Though there are other places that use magic. The Eorzean alliance mostly uses magic, though the Ishgardians have introduced gunsmithing, I believe.
[As it paid for her to keep up knowledge of the enemy.]

I don't believe we have either. Likewise I'm sure. [Now feeling that the bulletin board was a bit insufficient at this point as it would have been nice to see whom he was writing to]
Your world sounds quite diverse, as I imagine so some degree all of them are. [It would not be easy pinpointing everyone's origins. Not in the slightest- which only further complicated finding a method to send them all back] If guns are a new invention it would roughly place their advancement above what my people would be used to but below that of Domino.
I'm only further baffled by how this spell managed to reach each of us to draw us here. [
That and he was... ya know... deceased at the time]no subject
[
considering she was quite deceased herself, yes.]I believe Garlemald had guns for some time, and Ishgard has begun to adapt them? But I cannot be certain, so that is speculation on my part.

How does your Earth vary from the world we now find ourselves in? Is magic common place?
no subject
fufreakin' everywhere. Not everyone has it or can use it, but some- especially the non-humans -are really strong in it.

Ah- I believe Webby mentioned you the last time she sent out a request over the bulletin board. [Recognizing the name and remembering the artistic rendition.] Am I correct in assuming that there are three of you here from Duckburg? [Thinking he's hit upon a potential pattern] Three arrived from my world as well. [Little does he know about Noa, at this point]
I'm not sure that really means anything but.... it's worth noting.

and flatteredby that drawing.]Yeah, it's just the three of us from Duckburg. There aren't too many groups of people from the same world, huh?

I'm from Egypt.... [There's a delayed pause before the following appears] ... about 3,000 years prior to the date you mentioned.
