Question.

We've had that golem go nuts, and apparently there's a murderous teacher out there. Even where I'm from, that's not totally normal.

So here's my question: Who's looking out for people here? Not just looking out for the Sundered, but anyone. Where I'm from, there are people with awesome special abilities who protect civilians. They're called superheroes. But there's also all kinds of heroes who do brave and amazing things without any of that.

Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I'm not seeing a lot of that here, and it's almost been a month for me. Has anyone else noticed something?

Oh definitely. Not to mention, since we're from different worlds and all, they have no way of knowing how learning this magic might affect us. It's bad enough that we're told we have to learn it or else we explode. But who knows what else it could do to us?

Well...it's a possibility. Magic can have weird effects on people. I doubt it's all that dangerous since magic seems to be a way of life here.

But considering we could explode by not learning the magic here, I can't imagine that there aren't some problems with suddenly cramming that much magical power into people.

Not that I can really prove anything. I could be wrong.

I might have a bit.

[The good thing about text is the lack of tone, so it's hard to tell how serious she's being.]

Yes.

[Okay, she is definitely not being serious.]
