dorm life woes

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that people younger than an arbitrary age are forced into communal living, at the mercy of roommates who may or may not have lost their minds, while the rest of you get your own rooms?

I've been legally emancipated for years on my world, and I'm definitely above the age of majority by now, yet I'm stuck with a dorm-mate building trash piles in our room. Let me write that again and underline it for emphasis. Trash. Piles.

I've blasted away as many as I can find, but they always come back. Yes, I've always wanted to live in a pigsty.

Normally I am the last person to suggest going to the authorities, but why not simply go to the teachers or whoever else is in a position to deal with it?

That and if you ever need a break, I mean. I have my own room, there's always the sleeping bag on the floor thing. Do they care where you sleep, so long as you don't skip class?

No. I used to visit my boyfriend. No longer have one, so that solution's off the table.

That's the simpler solution. The more amusing one would be figuring out why the person does what they're doing. Why trash? Do they view it as 'trash' or is it only others who view it that way. Then you might be able to bargain with them or manipulate them into not using trash.

You seem like you'd rather simply shut it down though.

"GIVE ME A REASON!" He yelled, tapping his pin sending his fractal falcon familiar at Kaiba to distract him so he could ready his own spell.

He had, ages back his first time here, worked his wand into his megaphone making it his focus for Diatu magic. He aimed the megaphone at the crouched man.

"SINE! COSINE! TANGENT!" Each shouted word sending power out at the other, ideally while he was distracted by a bird that kept slipping in and out of this plane....

Kaiba wavered on his feet, lifting arms to deflect the bird. He'd learned a silencing spell, and tried to counter with that...but if he could knock the megaphone away...

No, he doesn't need to. It falls blissfully silent. He flicks a wrist to attempt to transform the trash pile into a dragon sculpture...well. It's more of a trash dragon. Almost.

That effort caused him to lose focus on what Sho was doing, a fatal mistake.
